Meeting
Site
The meeting will take place in the Plant Sciences
Building on the College Park campus of the University of Maryland. See: Click here for additional maps. The Plant Sciences Building right across the street from the
Regents Garage, which has visitors parking. There will be signs in the garage entrance directing
participants to the meeting room.
The closest parking to the PLS is in the Regents garage
(see below). After parking your car, walk out of the
garage through the south entrance and cross the street into the atrium of PLS
and look for our registration desk and cofee.

Getting
to the University
The University is quite convenient for driving, plane, or
train. Instructions are given below.
Anyone wishing to fly here might want to consider using BWI
(Baltimore/Washington International) airport since that is closes to campus,
but requires additional transportation to get from the airport to UMD. The most convenient airport is Regan National
Airport in DC since you can take Metro (our subway) close to campus, and from
there take a shuttle bus to campus (again, see below).
Parking
at UMD
As at any campus, parking is not too easy, but if you arrive
relatively early it should not be a problem. Click here to see parking
options. The Rengents Garage is closest to the PLant Sciences Auditorium, the site of the EAR meeting. The other relatively close (but less preferred) parking is the Stadium garage.

to Campus
by car, Metro (Subway) or train: http://www.uga.umd.edu/admissions/visit/directions/train.asp
by plane or driving: http://www.arch.umd.edu/about_the_school/location/directions.cfm
Note that those taking AMTRAK have two options. One is to
get off at the New Carrollton (NCR) station and take a taxi to UMD – this
is the closest AMTRAK station. The alternative is to take the train to Union
Station in D.C. and then take Metro as given in the Directions to Campus
above.
Where
to stay
For those wishing to stay overnight, this link gives a list of possible hotels. The most convenient is the first, the Inn and Conference Center, since it is on campus and very nice. But, it is the most expensive. See: http://www.uga.umd.edu/admissions/visit/accommodations.asp
